NSDR: The ACM Workshop on Networked Systems for Developing Regions

NSDR is a highly selective workshop focusing on the design and deployment of networked systems in, the challenged environments of, the developing world. More than a billion, less fortunate, people on this planet survive on less than a dollar a day. Technology can help improve their lives. The last decade has seen interest in applying Information and Communication Technologies for Development. The diverse challenges of this research area, often dubbed ICTD, along economic, social, political, and educational dimensions necessarily call for a multi-disciplinary approach. However, the focus of NSDR is on the technical side of ICTD research.
